In the garden area this is a special tree which commemorates the centenary of the start of World War One and all who served and gave their lives. The tree is an olive and it was planted by the Friends in 2014 and the circular seat was added on the United Nations International Day of Peace 2015. The project was a joint venture between the Friends and Billericay Rotary Club Mayflower. It's a truly international project, with the tree coming from Italy the seat from Burma engraving done in Thailand and paving slabs from India and labour from Billericay,
